miryam lumpini was born in Stockholm, Sweden to her swedish mother and congolese father. IN SCHOOL, she studied graphic design, photography, and media communication, but focused more on tattooing and getting tattooed at the age of seventeen.

MIRYAM would further her commitment to the craft in 2009, when she became an apprentice of diego hernandez (known for his large black-and-gray tattoo pieces). Miryam would practice under him for three years, honing her skills and ALSO DEVELOPING A DEEP passion for color tattoos. WHILE sharpening her SKILLSET IN Europe, MIRYAM WENT ON TO wIN HER first tattoo convention in 2011. IN 2012, she WOULD GO ON TO TATTOO THE RENOWNED DJ SKRILLEX, AN OPPORTUNITY tHAT tOOK her talent ALL THE WAY to LOS ANGELES, california.

THERE, she WOULD spenD HER time ON THE ROAD, touring with artists and painting while working on OBTAINING HER permanent residency. when MIRYAM finally ACQUIRED HER green card, SHE focused on starting her own tattooing business. DUE TO her already GROWING recognition and celebrity clientele, miryam was able to establish her PRIVATE downtown la tattoo studio in 2015. the studio serveD as a hub for her expertise and renown to grow, leading to major collaborations with large brands, which included serving as the spokesperson for reebok’s “ALWAYS CLASSIC” Campaign, global creative director and innovator of the temporary tattoo product bodymark by bic, and global director of tattoo artistry for KVD beauty.

The status of Miryam’s clientele continued to grow exponentially over time, and, fueled by her own ambition and passion, miryam earned the 2019 award for best tattoo business in los angeles.

IN 2021, she made her own screen debut on tattoo redo, a Netflix ORIGINAL show that allowed Miryam’s name to reach households all over the world.

miryam’s focus has always been the healing purpose Of tattooing, WHICH IS found within her speciality OF cover-up tattoo artistry and working with COLOR ON melanated skin.
